    Mardi Himal Trek lies in Annapurna Region. This trekking is short and near from Pokhara and it is suitable for beginner and other group of people too. It is one of the best and easy trek which allows you to see more than 6-7 Himalayas on the clear weather. The trek is going up and up hill till the last day ie to view point. And after that going to Siding which is down hill. So, we go uphill and down hill which is called Nepali flat in tourism.

    .Mardi himal trekking can be started from various point, the best way is going from Kade. One can start the trek from Naudanda too.First section of the trek is walking on the staircase till Australian camp. It is full of greenery. The view of Himalaya is Panaromaic from Australian Camp.

    Higher we go the trial is going up and uphill. Deurali also has nice view of Himalayas. Here we halt for night. The trees of Rhodondronand Oak trees are covered with fur and liches. You get very fresh air. At some point you can see valley view and Himalayas. Forest camp, low camp and high camp has different views. Finally when we reach early morning before sun rise the view point the view is amazing. The Himalayas we see from Mardi Himal base camp and view point are Himchuli, Annapurna South, Fishtail, Gangapurna, Gandarva peak, Annapurna and many more. The accommodation is basic and simple. We end our trek in Siding there is nice beautiful waterfall. You can stop for photography.

    How hard is Mardi Himal Trek?

    It is easy trek. Walking trail is upgoing uphill to all the way to base camp of Mardi. Coming down is downhill. Going up you have to control your respiration and get rest and go slow. Where as towards the end of trek we have to go down and you might twist your ankle. So, walk slow. Better would be carrying trekking pole. It helps both on climbing and coming. This trek is most easy trek.

    Why Mardi Himal Trek is Best in Autumn mid-September to mid November ?

    The weather is clear so view of Himalayas is clear. No slow in that case the trekking trail is not sleeper. Sunrise and sunset is good. We meet lots of trekkers and high Himalayas is good. In spring you will see lots of Rhododendron flower all over the forest.

    What you see and what to expect in Mardi Himal Trekking?

    From the very first day you will see Himalayas. The view keep changing everyday. The view of Himalayas is amazing. The accommodation is basic. But we can select the one those are nice. But in peak season the might have to adjust. Sometime you might have to sleep in the dining hall if the tourist flow is high.

    High camp and above is great view. This is why Mardi lures people from all over the world.

    Our airport representative we be carrying your name and name plate of Supporter Treks and Tours name plate and we will meet you at airport and transfer you to hotel.

    Fly to Pokhara is about 20 minutes flight or by land it is like 200km. 8-10 hours ride.

    Pokhara to Kade is 1 hour ride. Our trek starts from Kade. We start walking uphill. We mainly walk on staircase till Australian Camp. Here ACAP check point is there. We will have our Lunch at Pothana or Australian camp. We than walk upto Deurali where stop at night hault. Today we walk on greenery.

    Walking Deurali to Forest Camp is going uphill in the forest. We will get the tunning view of Macchepuchhe (6993 m) and Annapurna range. Today we walk on the forest. The forest is covered with hemlock, Rhododendron, Birch and Pines. Afternoon is free. Gaze the mountain and get peace in mind on the clear weather day.

    First part of the trek is preety steep. Today is short hike. We will get the view of Annapurna south and the view of Ghandruk is beautiful across the river. Badal Danda has very beautiful view of Himalaya. It is very close view. You will love it.

    Now the trail is more into grass and no tress. We might meet mules on the way. We get the splendid view of Himalaya on the clear weather day. The walk is easy and comfortable. Most of the places there is firewood at dining hall. We can get warm sitting next to firewood.

    Early morning we climbup hill to see the sunrise over Himalayas.There are only grasses no trees up towards view point.We have to carry headlamps, torch light, wear warm gears and climb to high view point or still continue up to Mardi himal base camp. We see more than 7 snow capped peak from view point. After seeing the view of hiamalays we will walk back to Badal Danda.

    We walk back to Siding. We descend 1568m. It basically going down and down in staircase. So, today can be the most difficult day in the entire trip. It is small village and has plenty of teahouse. In rainly season it the walking trial can be slippery.

    Today we will drive to Pokhara. It can take around 4-5 hours. We might have to walk for a while depending on the road condition. On the way we can visit the waterfall which is really nice. Relax and chillout in Lake side at Pokhara.

    Fly back to Kathmandu. It takes 20 minutes. Or drive back to Kathmandu. It is 200 km and it take like 8-10 hour. Relax.

    Sightseeing around Kathmandu, the biggest Stupa in Nepal, Boudhanath, the greatest hindu temple, where you can see cremation. Bhaktapur the old king palace etc.

    Our driver will drop you to airport before 3 hours at international airport to fly back home.

    Essential Information

    How is the food on the trek?

    The food is simply best throughout the trek. You can order food as per menu. You get varities of food. You would have no complain in food. The higher you go better to order soup and drinks plenty of fluids. Don’t forget to drink water, if water is cold, drink hot/warm water. Say no to smoking and no to alcoholic beverages.

    Is Mardi Himal difficult to trek?

    No, Mardi Himal isn’t difficult trek. It is for the beginner and intermediate and all levels. It is going uphill most of the time, so you might find it difficult. But going uphill is tiring and you might have respiration problem. If you control your breath and walk in own pace. Going uphill ie lot easy.

    Whereas in down hill it is sleepery. In down hill there is chance where you can twist angle. You have to be very careful while trekking. In down hill you might fall down in that case your hand shouldn’t be inside pocket. You should land with hand. You have to be very careful while going down hill. So, uphill is easier than downhill as your muscles get compressed in downhill.
