The 3 high passes trek start for west in the Dudh Koshi, it finally goes upto Renjo La Pass and trek goes down to Gokyo valley. We will do the trek to emerald lakes. It is this place with which Gokyo got it name. The trek then take us to Cho La pass and descend down towards Everest Base Camp. We hike to Kalapatthar and on time permission we go to Everest Base camp. We then move towards Kongma La pass and arrives to Imja Lake. We will then walk to wards Lukla where we end our trek. How is Trekking in winter and rainy season at 3 passes?
It is quite hard to trek on 3 passes in winter as there will be plenty of snow. Rather than winter 3 passes can do done in other season. In winter we have to be well prepared, carry extra equipment and with the snow you might not be able to find the trekking route in winter, so it is difficult to do 3 high of Everest region in winter.
In winter also you need to be more careful as with the rainfall the trekking trail is muddy and slippery. So, it is quite hard to 3 passes trek in Everest region.
