    How to get to Bhutan?

    To enter into Bhutan we either go from Siligudi in India to Phuentshling city in Bhutan. We can fly to Paro from different cities like Kathmandu, Bangkok, Dehli, Bagdogra, Mumbai, Guwahati, Dhaka and Singapore

    Visa of Bhutan

    At Bhutan airport the Bhutan visa is issued. One week in advance we send your passport scan copy to Bhutan and they will send us paper visa approval. We can send you that on your email. With that paper you can visa on arrival, we need 1 passport size picture.     Arrive in the Paro guide from Bhutan will be meet you at airport and transfer you to hotel and refreshment at hotel we will go for tour around Paro. When you are flying from Nepal to Paro the Himalayan view is clear. We can also see Mt. Everest when you fly from and to Kathmandu. In Bhutan we visit National Museum and tour around Rinphung Dzong.

    We will drive a little to hike to Tiger’s Nest (Tiger’s lair). It is a holy place for Buddhists. It is at vertical cliff at 9680 ft.

    To go to Taktsang monastery we have option of hiring Pony or we can hike. We can take pony to certain point till café and from there we have to walk. We can get view of Tiger’s Nest from here and we have walk to the monastery. We will have our Lunch at café seeing the view of Tiger’s Nest/ Taktsang. After visiting the Taktsang we have to come down and it is a bit faster to go downhill than going up. We will be meeting vehicle and drive towards north to the ruins of Drukgyal Dzong which was build in 1649 A.D. It cut fire in 1951 and has not been restored. On the way back we will be visiting the oldest Buddhist temple Kychu temple./ Overnight at Paro.

    Drive from Paro to Thimpu is about an hour. It is the capital city of Bhutan. Thimpu maintain architectural which is unique. Till 1961 Thimpu was wooded farming valley. 70,000 people do live in. Amazing thing is there are no traffic light on the road. There are many places to visit in Bhutan and there are several type of accommodation too.

    Tashichho Dzong: Tashichho Dzong serves as king’s office, ministers and various government organizations works from here. All the monastery headquarter is Tashichho Dzong. During summer Bhutan’s spiritual leader Je-Khenpo and the monks of both Thimpu and Punakha reside here. In all the fall season, it it venue for Thimpu festival.

    Memorial Chorten: In the memory of third King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuk this white and tall landmark of Thimpu was build in 1974 A.D. He is considered as father of the modern Bhutan. This four story tall white building contains iconography of deities from tantric teachings. It is a holy place for people living in Thimpu and other country side.

    Zilukha Nunnery: It is in Drubthob Goemba / monastery. About 70 nuns lives and everday there is pray in this monastery. It also provides good view of Taschicho Dzong, upper Thimpu and Golf course.

    Takin Sanctuary: Takin is national animal of Bhutan. It is unique and associate with country’s history and mythology. With the magical power at a large congregation of devotees of Saint made it. It looks like cow from back, a goat from front and it befuddle taxonomists, it can’t be related to other animals.

    Paper Factory: With the Daphne plant traditional paper are made. It the basic method they make it and the paper last longer.

    Sangaygang View Point (Telecom Tower): Just below the telecommunication tower, there is nice view of Thimpu valley. Near by it also has house of television of broadcasting studios of Bhutan. You are not allowed to take picture of television broadcasting studios. As it looks like lover’s lane at night it is known as Sangaygang.

    There's a wonderful view of Thimphu valley from the hillside below the telecommunications tower (elevation 2685m), high above the town at the end of a road that branches off from the approach to the youth centre. The complex also houses the broadcasting studios of Bhutan television. Don't photograph the telecommunications installation, but the valley is worth a few snaps. The area is known as Sangaygang and it becomes a lover's lane late at night.

    Morning drive to Punakha. It is winter capital of Bhutan. We will drive to Dochu La Pass. It provides the view of the eastern Himalayas not to be missed we will see Bhutan highest mountain the Gangkar Punsum (7,550m/ 24,770 ft.). As we drive to Punakha valley we meet cultivated land. We will drive towards Wangdiphodrang. We can visit huge fortress which is built in the shape of sleeping bull. Our drive continue to the Pele La pass from where the sacred mountain called Chomolhari and other peaks is seen beautifully. Today we will have picnic lunch at Chedebji Chorten.

    We finally arrive at Trongsa, here we will visit Trongsa Dzong and inner courtyard of historical Dzong is famous and impressive. In the beginning of the Century the present Royal family became the most powerful force from the Dzong. Overnight in hotel/ Resort.

    Today we will drive across Yotong La and and drive down to valley of Chumey. It is first of four Bumthang valley. The palace of second King as his summer residence is on the way we will visit it and we will head to Prakar monastery and to Yathra Weaving centers. We will also visit Jakar the center of Bumthang valley. Bumthang is most sacred in the Kingdom of Bhutan. It is also a place where kings were cremated.

    In the afternoon we will visit Dzong, tamshing,Kurjey, Jambay Lhakhang, swiss farm area and fruit farm. Overnight at Bumthang.

    We will drive back to Punakha (1400m). Visit Punakha Dzong, it is mighty and most impressive and we will hike to Chimi Lhakhang. It was buitld in 1499 by Lama Drukpa Kunley. Here the women who don’t have babies vist this temple and receive blessing from the saint.

    Today we will drive west to Dochu La pass (3080m),on the good weather we can enjoy the Himalayan Peaks above 7000m. We will than continue driving to Paro for about 2 hours. Afternoon we will visit the national museum and Rinpung Dzong and talk to guide and fix the sight. Overnight at Paro.

    We will have early breakfast at hotel and we will drive to Paro airport to fly to Kathmandu. You will also see the Himalayas of Bhutan and Nepal when you fly from Paro to Kathmandu.
