Kathmandu-Trishuli- Samari/ Bhote padera-Aankhu Hydro-Arughat-Gorkha Bazar-Lamjung-Begnas Lake-Pokhara and from Pokhara you can flyout or driveout to Kathmandu.
Kathmandu to Pokhara MTB tour
This cycling used to be famous in earlier day. This trip is going to Pokhara on off road. We have to use local guest houses/ tea house. It is basic facilitates you get on the trip. Accommodation wise also it is basic and food also you will get basic meals. Rice, Lentils, vegetables and Chicken (Dal Bhat) is the only meals you get in Lunch and Dinner.
You will come across various villages. You will also come across many rivers, forest, farmlands and hamlets. This trip is not so easy as the trail is going uphills and downhills. But to see the real Nepal this trip is best. Only at the end of trip you reach Pokhara which is really tourist place. This trip is also possible using tents and backup vehicle. It will be like camping. It is a bit expensive but full of fun.

How easy is Kathmandu-Pokhara MTB tour?
Kathmandu to Pokhara going through not the main highway is pretty much going through village. We meet greenery on first day of our ride. First day is a bit difficult going uphill in Shivapuri National Park. After Gurje Bhanjyang it is downhill till Chahare and mostly flat land to Trishuli. Second day is pretty much up hill, towards end of the day we go downhill. Third day first second is going uphill and more flat and down hill. Third day is more flat land. There is bit of uphill and downhill. Fourth day is steady uphill to Gorkha from Dhading. Gorkha to Lamjung is going downhill and flat land. Lamjung to Pokhara is going steady uphill.
Overall the trial is mixture of uphill, downhill and flat land. It is not so easy neither it is hard. It is good to do exercise back at home at least a month is advance. It is beautiful trip as you see various Village, Villagers, mid hills, farms and we also see Himalayas in clear weather. Seeing this thing you will get relief of pain and tireness.
Which time of the year is Kathmandu to Pokhara Mtb ride best to bike trip?
Spring and Autumn is the best to bike. The sky is clear. The chance to view the Himalayas is more. The weather is pleasant. But this trip can be done throughout the year. In rainy season we need good raincoat. In winter you need to carry wind seater and warm gears. But winter is not that cold. Good to carry gloves and woolen caps.
What can you expect on Kathmandu to Pokhara Mtb tour?
Facilities wise you get minimum things, you get basic accommodation, food you get regular items like rice, vegetables, meat, momo and noodle. Not much of choice. But on other hand you can explore the local people and you can see traditional farming. Views are better as we summit many hills. Himalayas can be seen from various point.
