Langtang Valley

We arrived as we landed at airport. Supporter Treks and Tours name plate was at airport with our name was in it. We were happy to be greeted at airport and we drove to hotel. Check in and walk around Thamel. We were briefed about the trek in the evening. Guide rechecked our gears for trek.

Following day we had half day tour around Kathmandu Valley. We went to Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath and Bhaktpur. It was nice to see all USESCO world heritage Site with our own eyes. Amazing temple, stupa and old king palaces. We came back to Thamel and did last minute shopping for the trek.

After breakfast at hotel we had private transportation being arranged to go to Shabrubesi. The drive was scenic. We crossed and bypass villages, city, forest, crossed the river. We stopped for Lunch and we had Nepali meal ‘Dal Bhat’ ie rice, lentils and vegetables. It took us about 9 hours to reach us at Shabrubesi. There were many tea houses and our guide selected one and stayed overnight at Shabrubesi.

Finally our trek started today after breakfast at Shabru. We started our trek. After walking for a while we crossed suspension bridge. And immediately we are into greenery. On left the river in flowing and right at the edge of green mountain we are walking. The sound of river is amazing. The walk is pretty much flat with little ups and downs. We see lots of little bamboo which is called ‘Ningalo’ in Nepali. We stopped for Lunch at Pairee which is on the river bank. There the current of river is high so the sound produce by River is high. After Lunch and a bit of rest we start going uphill and flat walking trails. Before we reach Lama hotel there is a bit of climbing and Today’s walk is mostly on Green section. We ate dinner and rested and slept on Lama Hotel.

After having breakfast at Lama Hotel we proceed towards Langtang Valley. Our first part of the trek is more into woods and forest. We get to see lots of Rhododendron blooming at March and April. We get to see Himalayas today.

We again follow river. We stopped for Lunch at Ghodatabala. After Lunch there are not much big trees. Only little bushes and grasses. Today’s walk is gradual ascending. We get to see the Himalayas. The view is amazing. We spend our night at Langtang Valley village.

Today we will head to Kyanjing Gompa. It is a beautiful Valley. It is surrounded by snow capped peaks from all side. As we arrived here early we did side trips. It was nice to see the Himalayas from close view. The stunning view from Langtang is simply best.

We woke up early morning and took our packed breakfast, nuts, fruits and water and went to Tserkori. It is the view point. It was Stiff climbing. As we got on to top. The view was simply amazing. We could see lots of Himalayas. It was worth visiting Tserkori. We descend down to Kyanjing Gompa. We will spend another night at Kyanjing Gompa. We walked around the place. It was nice and fun.

We moved back to Lama Hotel. Today too we could see Himalayas. We had our lunch at Langtang valley village. And we proceeded to Lama Hotel.

We then moved to Thulo Syabru. We walk for about 3 hours and the way to Thulo Syabru separate. We made a left moved and started climbing all the way to Thulo Syabru. Today we meet farming fields. We will also cross a suspension bridge. We will be spending a night here today.

Today’s walk is mostly uphill. We will walk in the forest today. We meet greenery. We visited monastery of Shin monastery. There are lot’s of fresh bakery. We can find fresh Cheese of Yak. It is good to taste it.

There is lots of ascending today too. The trial is mostly uphill and a bit of flat land we have to trek. On the clear weather day we can see the snow capped peaks. We had leisure time and we went all the way to Gosainkunda the pond. We took great picture at Gosainkund.

After visiting the Gosainkunda we walked all the way to Ghopte. The trekking trail in the begging is little flat and crossing Lauribinayak and all the way down hill to Ghopte. We have to be very careful going downhill as going downhill is difficult than going uphill. You might twist your ankle and you might fall down. So, be careful.

We will be trekking to Maghingoth from Ghopte. It is walking downhill and flat mostly. Maghingoth to Kutumsang is also nice and easy walk mostly flat and downhill. Where as Kutumsang to Chisapani first section is flat and downhill and last section is uphill and more greenery. Chisapani had great view of the mountain view. And Chisapani to Sundarijal, first section of trekking trail is ascending for a while and most of the trail is going down. We are walking in Shivapuri National Park.

We ended our beautiful trek and returned back in Kathmandu. It is simply memorable trek. We all enjoyed Langtang trek with Gosainkund. I recommend you to do this trip as it has beautiful view of snowcapped mountain. The nature is nice and we come across the villages.

We had one more day in Kathmandu where we visited Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar square. Following day we were dropped off to airport to fly back home with all fresh memories.

Thank you for organizing this trip for us. The entire team did excellent job. Simply best.
