    We will paddle from Kathmandu to Sankhu and to Nagarkot and we will spend overnight at hotel at Nagarkot (medium standard). Next day can come back via Changu Narayan and we also can visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

    How difficult is Sankhu-Nagarkot trip?

    Sankhu Nagarkot trip is quite difficult as from Sankhu to Nagarkot is uphill. Other than that it is flat and downhill. While climbing uphill if we are not able to paddle we can push the bike.

    How many days is this trip?

    This trip can be done in a day as well but it is little trying. So, it is good to stop in Nagarkot for a day. That way you would be able to see sunrise and sunset. We can also see good view of Himalayas. Nagarkot is the one of best and nearest view point from Kathmandu. We also get enough time to visit Bhaktapur and Changu Narayan the oldest temple recorded in Nepal.

    How easy is this trip to Nagarkot?

    Mt. Biking to Nagarkot is a bit easy trip. But it is good to have stamina. First section of first day is little traffic and it is riding on mostly flat land. After crossing Sali nadi (Sali river), slowly uphill starts. So, final section of the first day ride is uphill and here if you are unable to paddle it we can push the bike.

    Second day first section is going down hill. If you are heading to Changu there is little uphill otherwise heading to Bhaktapur from Nagarkot is easy. Since you the section of our ride is on traffic. We will normally ride from left hand side. It is not hard.

    Which is the best season to do this Nagarkot Trip?

    Spring and Autumn is the best season to do mt. bike. This time of year the weather is perfect neither hot nor cold. The view of Himalayas is also likely to be clear. We can do cycling to Nagarkot throughout the year. In winter you need to pack warm gears like jacket or sweater. In rainy season you need to carry a good rain coat.

    Can this Nagarkot trip be done in a day?

    Yes, for sure you can do the Nagarkot trip in a day. It is around 60 km plus. You have to be physically fit. You might not get more time to spend on Bhaktapur Durbar Square. You will miss the sunrise and sunset view from Nagarkot.

    We ride to Nagarkot via Sakhu. Today the ride is flat in the traffice on first section. After half way it is going uphill./ We spend ovenight at Nagarkot.

    Early morning we go to see sunrise and ride downhill to Changu Narayan and we will then head to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and then we head back to Thamel.
